Stimulate Stagnant Business (The RIGHT Way)

Got sluggish business?  Over the last few weeks, I've heard many concerned dentists say, "Business is slow, new patient traffic is low and we need help fast." Many people think the best "quick" solution is to market and advertise externally for new clients.  Caution! This tactic may not be the right answer for you.  The first item to consider are your practice reports... Specifically, when was the last time you evaluated your case acceptance/sales numbers? Sometimes the best opportunity to find new business is within your existing practice. 

Surprisingly, I still meet new clients who are unaware of their case acceptance percentages. This means patients/business/dollars could be walking out of the practice door on a daily basis, and no one is aware of the problem. Take a good look at your case acceptance numbers.  Typically, when business is going well, many practices defer scrutinizing their reports.  In today's economy, it is worth thinking about what an increase of 10-30% in case acceptance could do for your profits.  Once you've maximized profit potential internally you can then look externally for new business.
